The phrased meaning of a hadith is as per the following:

Hadith alludes to the adages, deeds and addresses (ie endorsement) ascribed to the Prophet (harmony and endowments of Allaah arrive).

The Prophet (harmony and endowments of Allaah arrive) himself referred to his platitudes as "hadeeths" and hence he (SAW) pre-decided the term of hadeeth on which the muhaddithin later concurred. In evidence of this, see the accompanying hadith of Sahih Bukhari.

Hazrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be satisfied with him) portrayed that:

I requested the Messenger from Allah (harmony and endowments of Allah arrive): O Messenger of Allah! Who will be most joyful with your intervention on the Day of Resurrection?

The Messenger of Allaah (harmony and endowments of Allaah arrive) said:

O Abu Huraira! I was certain that nobody before you would get some information about this hadith. Since I saw your enthusiasm for Hadith.

Tune in! The person who will be most honored on the Day of Resurrection through my intervention will be the person who says "La ilaha illa Allah" with a genuine heart or a true psyche.

Sahih Bukhar
